BRUSSELS, MARCH 29, 2019 – Softvisioner Ioana Chiorean recently gathered with fellow EU Code Week Ambassadors in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting was coordinated for the ambassadors to share ideas and plan actions for the 2019 initiative.
EU Code Week celebrates coding and aims to “bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way.” In 2018, the initiative reached 2.7 million people, and the ambassadors hope to expand their reach even more for this year.
Ioana Chiorean, QA Community Lead at Cognizant Softvision, is proud to be an ambassador for digital skills at the European Commission. Over the course of two days, Ioana and her teammates discussed strategies for how to get more people of all ages into web literacy and to empower them to be digital citizens of the future.
Ioana speaks of her experience at the EU Code Week Ambassadors Meeting, saying, “We are having a great time at the ambassadors and EDU coordinators meeting in Brussels. Great discussions and ideas to grow Code Week in 2019 and beyond!”
Congratulations to Ioana and her fellow ambassadors and coordinators. We look forward to seeing what you have in store for this year’s EU Code Week, which will take place October 5-20, 2019.
