How Diversity Is Helping to Foster Innovation

Softvision’s CEO, Andres Angelani, Interviewed for Authority Magazine

September 12, 2018 – Softvision’s CEO, Andres Angelani was recently interviewed for Authority Magazine to gather his insights on how diversity helps encourage innovation within a company.

In the article, we learn a bit about Andres’ background. Born and raised in a small agricultural town in Argentina, Andres’ family ran an Italian charcuterie business. Instead of pursuing the family business, Andres became a junior programmer at an IT firm in Buenos Aires, and it was there that his journey began.

Andres’ professional journey brought him, along with his wife and children, to the UK and the US. In 2017, he became CEO of Softvision. As he traveled to Softvision’s Studios around the world, Andres noted the cultural differences with great interest.

“I had my own cultural expectations when I went to different places. I’m an Italian by heritage, but born and raised in Argentina. The entire experience made my even more curious about how people think, what drives them and how to connect.”

As a leader, Andres believes it’s important to train for diversity. To help employees thrive, Andres offers a bit of advice to other CEOs, saying “I would encourage other CEOs to train for diversity, and to not train people in mass quantities like other traditional companies. Instead, expose young people to different emerging technologies, new design trends and agile mindsets.”

Andres goes on to reveal six tips to help encourage a culture of diversity that can help a company’s bottom line, including: inspire diversity through innovation; showcase diversity; geographic and language diversity ; organizational diversity; gender diversity; and “One Company.”
