About Cognizant Softvision’s Internal Communications Campaign

The campaign began late March ‘20, as everyone began to settle in to working remotely. Since then, Cognizant Softvision has invited employees to contribute and consume content related to new activities and groups, particularly via Facebook Workplace. Highlights of these groups, which encourages employees to share their lives with the organization, include: Softvision Pets, Recipes, Movies, and Music. As a result, Softvisioners have found a new ‘water cooler’ to share stories and themselves. The marketing team has also leveraged the calendar to rally employees around specific non-traditional holidays, including International Women in Engineering Day, and most recently Programmers’ Week, which celebrates the achievements of programmers worldwide while bringing new thinking and training to the organization. The highlight of the campaign has been the ‘New Normal’ Zoom Photo Exhibit. In concert with International Women in Engineering Day, Cognizant Softvision encouraged its women engineers to show everyone how they work, play, stay fit, parent, care of each other, etc. in their ‘new normal.’ Pictures were taken of participants’ new normal at home via Zoom, and captured and shared (starting in June) in stark black and white imagery across internal / external channels. The program has been so successful that it’s extended each month, with plans for tie-ins with Breast Cancer Awareness (October), and men’s health issues (November).
