Beeline Bikes brings a convenient bike shop experience straight to the customer. They’re changing the bike industry by combining innovative technology with years of industry experience and knowledge. With Beeline Bikes’ platform, customers can sign up online, view product availability and schedule a time for the bike shop to come to them with a full selection.

Softvision’s work with Beeline Bikes began in 2013 as an engineering partner. One of the co-founders, Andy Jeffrey, had worked with Softvision with a previous company and came back to us for Ruby on Rails development. The team used Ruby on Rails for the main work and Drupal for the small websites.
Five years into our partnership, Beeline was acquired by Accell North America, and Softvision was asked to help host and maintain some of their sites and to reduce their IT infrastructure costs.
As of summer 2018, the biggest challenge was to get the new SaaS platform ready, called “Powered by Beeline.”
A Softvision Pod across Cluj-Napoca, Mysore and Bucharest Studios set to work to improve the Beeline website and additional, smaller websites. The development team was formed according to the client’s needs, and later a project manager and UI/UX engineer were brought on, helping to revamp the consumer-facing side of the Beeline website.
For Powered by Beeline, the team worked on defining an MVP that suits both business needs and budget and time constraints.

The new designs for Beeline included the admin dashboard, mechanic’s view, and appointment scheduling pages. The new pages for the Beeline admin and mechanic’s view help Beeline’s retailers and franchisees with their e-commerce fulfillment, 24/7 online scheduling, and other customer service tasks. The improved sites could also be a potential draw for new franchisees. The appointment scheduling page provides an easy, user-friendly way for customers to select their desired appointment time.

The next big step for our partnership is the January 2019 release of Powered by Beeline SaaS platform, the most advanced service scheduling, and online fulfillment software in the cycling industry. The Powered by Beeline platform will support revenue growth, drive innovation, and improve customer acquisition and retention.
Powered by Beeline helps bike shops and direct to consumer bike brands adapt to the changing retail and e-retail landscape. By connecting bike shops with d2c bicycle brands, Powered by Beeline builds a mutually beneficial relationship for bike shops to receive online customers and for bike brands to have access to a wide distribution network.
Additionally, the Softvision team helped make technical decisions for Beeline Bikes, allowing the client to focus on business aspects. We look forward to our continued partnership.
