Innovation and Technology for Sustainable Living with DJ Uzo

Our Interview with International Artist and Marketing and Media Director at SXSW 2019

At SXSW 2019, Cognizant Softvision spoke with artist, event producer and marketing and media director, DJ Uzo. Uzo reveals what it was like working with Uber in the early days, and shares which companies he feels are really innovative today.

Innovative companies that are at the forefront of the space
Uzo reveals two companies he feels to be innovative, including BMW. BMW’s new M5, for example, is “so tricked out with new technology” with seamless options, like changing a four-wheel drive to a two-wheel drive, and the safety features and driver experience as a whole “is amazing.”

Dj Uzo’s number one innovative company is Tesla, as he feels their service and warranty goes above and beyond.

“The way they treat you as a client is amazing.”

The importance of conscious companies
“One thing about Tesla that I love, is the company is conscious. It’s providing people with conscious opportunities…which allows you as a consumer to make a conscious buying decision. Because we live in this beautiful world, and this beautiful world needs us to be efficient and to be smarter with everything we do on our everyday basis. And why I love Tesla….you understand you are saving and reusing the energy that is actually given to us from the sun.”

On his early days at Uber
Uzo shares his experience at Uber, including the brand change and many leadership changes that brought a “different flow.” What Uzo appreciated in the leadership and marketing changes was that he felt the company was saying, “we’re here for you” and “we care about what you want to do.”

Being a role model
“I’m all about sustainable living and all about a sustainable life. My goal is to live a conscious life that provides people with a platform for development…and for conscious decisions that they’re making. Meaning, I am a role model for others to be the same. Because if I can do it, you can do it…anybody can do it.”
