THE CHALLENGE

As a requirement from their content providers, the communications company wanted to enable dynamic ad insertion (DAI) for their Video On-Demand product in an effort to generate increased revenue. With little to no development presence, they needed a partner to bridge the gap between the existing middleware technology used for on-demand dynamic ad insertion.  

OUR SOLUTION

Cognizant Softvision provided a highly skilled development team of four pods from our Atlanta studio that implemented the middleware technology. Working in tandem with the company’s internal technology teams, Cognizant Softvision built an array of servers running a combination of native Java applications, integrated an Oracle database and a front-end admin portal – helping to architect, develop, deploy and support the middleware systems needed to run on the company’s platform. 

Using our agile development process, Cognizant Softvision pulled in the right experts from our guilds to build high-performing teams, called pods, that would enable quick delivery and go-to-market solution. Each guild is a world-class community of expert talent in an area of expertise. For this partnership, the following guilds led to the successful delivery:

WHAT’S TO COME

Our partner has been able to consistently earn additional streams of revenue off of customer ad viewership. With the implementation of DAI, advertisers have been able to greatly expand the number and variety of ads reaching the customer. The DAI solution has also allowed the communications company to successfully target advertisements relevant to specific customer needs.
